Under the patronage of prominent businessman Akram Miknas, the Social Committee of the Bahrain Management Society organized a Management Iftar on Saturday morning, October 14, 2023, at the Coral Resort and Club in Manama. The event was attended by members of the Society, a select group of guests, and civil society organizations.
At the beginning, Chairman of the Social Committee, Mr. Hameed Rahma, welcomed His Excellency Mr. Akram Miknas, the event’s sponsor, appreciating his efforts in supporting the activities of the Committee and the Management Society. Mr. Miknas spoke about the beginning of his career and the development of his various businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad, noting that Bahrain is a fertile investment environment with broad freedoms that encourage investors to launch regionally and internationally.
Dr. Mishaal Al-Thawadi, a specialist in developing policies for developing countries, combating poverty, and supporting institutions, also spoke about electronic fraud and the latest methods used by hacker groups, as the world has witnessed increased activity from these groups recently. It’s worth noting that the event was attended by a group of deaf people, including the head of the Anamel Sign Language Team, Mr. Hassan Hussein Al-Alawi, and Mr. Basem Al-Mu’adhin, President of the Bahrain Deaf Sports Federation. Sign language interpreter and head of the Daih Youth Empowerment Center, Dr. Mona Fakhr, translated into sign language for the participating members. For her part, Dr. Lulwa Al-Mutlaq, President of the Bahrain Management Society, explained that the participation of the deaf community stems from a sense of responsibility and community partnership. The society seeks to integrate various segments of society into its activities and programs with the aim of raising awareness, instilling a sense of management and leadership among people of determination, and opening the way for this special group to engage in the society’s activities, exchange experiences, and acquire knowledge.
