Biography
Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza is a seasoned Bahraini technocrat with over five decades of experience in the energy and public sectors. He holds a PhD in Management Change from Middlesex University in London and has served in several high-ranking government positions, including Minister of State, Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs, Minister of Energy, and Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs. As Chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), he was instrumental in advancing Bahrain’s energy strategy, overseeing oil and gas exploration, and implementing reforms in the electricity and water sectors. In 2019, he was appointed President of the Sustainable Energy Authority, leading national efforts to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Dr. Mirza currently serves as Advisor to the Board at Bapco Energies, continuing to play a key role in shaping Bahrain’s energy policy and sustainable development goals.
